Presentations to be given by:
Harold Armstrong Subject: Downline Research
Location: Recreation/Cultural Hall
Harold has over 8,000 people on his down-line. He will help train you to get involved in doing down-line research.

Whitney Bird Subject: Aaron Farr Family
After a search of Aaron Farr descendants, Whitney found her connection to Aaron Farr last year. She will talk about Aaron, his family and her research.

David J. Farr Subject: Lorin Farr Biography
David is currently working on the Lorin Farr biography in conjunction with Susan Black and Craig Manscill.

Tim Farr Subject: Farr DNA Project
Tim has done an awesome job of conducting our DNA research - leading to finding our Farr connection in England . He will talk about how the DNA connection works!

Karen Kauer Subject: Research
Head of our up-line Farr research, Karen will show you how you can get involved.

Sharon Jeppsen Subject: Diantha & Olive
Sharon is the author of the book on Diantha. She will discuss her research, her feelings for Diantha and also her sister Olive.

Claudia Keyworth Subject: Life of Winslow Farr Jr.
Claudia has lectured on the life of Winslow Farr Jr. in past reunions and works with her mother, Wilma & Randall Smith on Winslow Farr Jr. family history.

Ruth Goodrich Subject: Varied Subjects
Ruth is our special guest from Vermont , the original home of our Farr family. She is an avid genealogist and has several thousand names in her computer, some of which tie in with our family. She has a maple sugar business with her husband, Glenn, harvesting over 20,000 maple trees in March each year. She also has a daughter who is in Special Forces.

David Rencher Subject: Family History Center Update
David is the head of records and information at the Family History Center and sits on our Board of Trustees. He will update us on what is happening in the Church Family History Centers.

FARR ENTERTAINMENT NIGHT

AUGUST 5, 2006 - Saturday - BUS TOUR & PICNIC

BUS TOUR

Cost - $8 per person/per seat. Orchard Ward parking lot - 8:00 am.

There will be two luxury coach buses, complete with air conditioning, restrooms, television and vcr/dvds. There are just 114 seats available. Loading will begin at 8:00 am at the Orchard Ward Building parking lot across from Cherry Hill , and will depart at 8:15 am - no exceptions. Families in cars are welcome to follow on their own, but will not receive the refreshments or souvenirs offered the bus occupants.

Round trip is expected to be around 4 hours, with 8-12 sites visited and at least 8 of those will be stop and walk sites. Sites include: Lorin Farr Monument , Ogden Pioneer Museum , Farr's Ice Cream, Ogden Cemetery , Farr Fort, Grist Mill, Ogden Canyon , Farr West and many other drive by sites. It is a tour you will not want to miss. We will arrive back at the church at approximately 12:30 pm. You may want to bring a light jacket, a camera and bottled water.

There is fun, excitement, and stories you have never heard before. A once in a lifetime adventure! Sure to bring tears to your eyes as you venture along the same paths as your ancestors and feel the trials, struggles and joys they went through. Each person will go home with some special gifts/souvenirs from the trip. You don't want to miss it. Get your reservations now! Don't delay. Seating is limited and is first come - first served.

Purchase your lunch here at Cherry Hill , or bring your own lunch. At 1:30 pm there will be games and activities. Come and spend some time with your relatives and get to know each other a little better!
